New Executive Director

Amy Huang

Amy Huang is thrilled to serve as Executive Director of UtmostU. She is a social impact leader with extensive experience working with youth and educators. Her recent roles include Vice President of Alumni Leadership at Teach For America and Executive Director of Continuous Improvement at Chicago Public Schools.

Before Chicago Public Schools, Amy served as the Senior Director of Programs at LEAP Innovations, an education nonprofit connecting innovation, education, and research. During Amy’s tenure, LEAP partnered with over 140 schools, creating the largest demonstration site for educator-led design and implementation of innovation. A founding member of LEAP, Amy led programmatic strategy and operational integration across LEAP.

Before transitioning to the social sector, Amy was a consultant with Kearney, a global management consulting firm. With Kearney, she advised Fortune 500 clients in healthcare, aerospace, retail, IT, and financial industries.

Amy started her career teaching physics, biology, and chemistry, and was awarded the Bay Area Teach For America Award for Innovation in Teaching. She earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.

Amy is an immigrant from Taiwan and first-generation college graduate, a recreational runner, an avid traveler, and utterly delighted to raise two children in Chicago.
